FORMAT

Age 13 & Under Singles: 

  • Open to boys and girls ages 13 and under as of March 22, 2020.
  • Preliminary Round Robin: Players are placed in groups of 4 or more. Win or lose, each player will play everyone in their group. Matches are best 2 of 3. The top two players in each group will advance to the playoff round. 
  • Playoff Round: Advancing players compete. Matches are best 3 of 5, single elimination.
  • The ultimate winner and runner up will receive trophies immediately after the event.

Age 60 & Over Singles: 

  • Open to men and women ages 60 and over as of March 22, 2020.
  • Preliminary Round Robin: Players are placed in groups of 4 or more. Win or lose, each player will play everyone in their group. Matches are best 2 of 3. The top two players in each group will advance to the playoff round.
  • Playoff Round: Advancing players compete. Matches are best 3 of 5, single elimination.
  • The ultimate winner and runner up will receive trophies immediately after the event.


Giant Round Robin Singles:

  • Open to all players!
  • Preliminary Round Robin: Players are placed in groups of 4 to 8. Win or lose, each player will play everyone in their group. All players will advance to the division round robin.
  • Division Round Robin: Players are placed in a division (A, B, C, etc) based on their performance in the preliminary round robin. Everyone plays everyone in their group.
  • Round robin group matches will be best 2 of 3 games to 11 points.
  • Single elimination matches (ie semis / finals) will be best 3 of 5 games to 11 points.


Ties: Two way ties will be settled by head to head win/loss record between the two players. Multiple player ties will be settled by win/loss game and point records if necessary. 

Rules:  All rules of USA Table Tennis will apply. 

Awards:    Winners and runner ups in all events will receive trophies. In addition, the Division A 1st place winner and runner up will receive South Bay Table Tennis gift cards (winner - $200 / runner up - $100).

Waiver:  All participants (or parent/guardian) must sign a liability waiver to participate in this tournament.
